November 2024
Welcome to our November newsletter
Thank you to everyone who visited the 2024 Hurunui Garden Festival!
We had a wonderful four days opening 18 gardens and two historic homesteads to the public. The weather was brilliant, although a little blustery at times and it was great to see so many happy visitors from all over New Zealand and even overseas. The Hurunui Garden Festival is growing from strength to strength and the committee and property owners truly appreciate each and every person who comes to view the properties and marvel at the incredible work the owners have done to be 'festival ready.'
Have you put the 2025 dates in your diary? We are very excited to be on show again for you from Thursday 30th October through to Sunday 2nd November next year. The line up of properties will be announced by the beginning of June with early bird ticket sales starting on the 1st of July. We look forward to seeing you again then!
Did you get to see this beauty in all her glory? Jude Flintoft and Stephen Smith have worked incredibly hard to transform this Waiau gem from its dilapidated state to the beautiful building you see today. In the hallway (pictured) is a montage of photographs depicting the homestead at the beginning of their journey, and it puts into perspective the restoration they have undertaken when you walk through the rooms as they are now.
