May 2023
Trees are groaning with unexpected growth with all the summer rain. What a brilliant autumn this is going to be. I do not think I have ever seen the Hurunui look so good, emerald green and now the change of season which for me is one of mother nature’s jewels before winter sets in.
April 2023
Autumn is a great time for your garden and a time when we are lucky enough to enjoy some of the most settled weather of the year. The trees are beginning to change colour and we have now "fallen back" with day light saving. The Easter Bunny is also close by. Easter also brings a great opportunity to get into the garden. In Autumn the long warmish days with the crisp starts are a good time to get the jobs done after the summer heat.

September 2022
September is officially the beginning of Spring so as our gardens start to show us some beautiful spring flowers, blossoms and colour so also are our Hurunui Garden Festival homeowners preparing to welcome you to their homes for our 2022 Garden Festival.
August 2022
The winter chill is certainly with us now as the mercury drops and we need to put on a few more layers of clothes.
July 2022
It certainly is now officially “Winter” as I am sure you will all know but it is not the time to hang up your gumboots or store away your garden tools. There are still jobs to be done and much to be enjoyed. It is also the time now to be checking out our website hurunuigardenfestival.com
June 2022
The stunning colours of autumn are starting to fade and blow away as we move into Winter with June officially being the beginning of our colder months. Growth in the garden slows due to less sunlight from now on. Maybe it is the same for us humans as we tend to hide indoors a bit more over the colder months.
