April 2024
Welcome to our April newsletter
Important information to help you prepare
Dates: Thursday 31st October - Sunday 3rd November 2024, 9am-5pm daily.
Tickets: These will be available to purchase online from July-September at $10 per ticket. Early bird deals are available in July.
You will need one ticket on the gate for each garden. If you do not wish to purchase online, you can pay $10 cash per person on the gate of each garden.
Please note: Historic homestead tours are $20.
Accommodation:
While the Hurunui Garden Festival is on, there are many other fantastic events happening in the district, so it pays to get in early when organising your accommodation. Along with the usual motels, hotels and camping grounds, some of our gardens are motor home friendly with the proceeds from your stay going directly to our scholarship fund. Other gardens also have onsite Air BnB accommodation so be sure to keep an eye out for those when they get listed on the website.
Tipapa Estate will be open for tours of the homestead on the hour during the Festival. These tours must be prebooked and will cost $20.
Scholarship
As part of the Hurunui Garden Festival, we have a scholarship fund. This scholarship is open to any Year 11-13 student who is going on to further study in the areas of landscape design, horticulture, agriculture or similar. During the festival, you can donate at each of the gardens to go towards this fund. Any stall holders fees and camping fees also go straight to the scholarship fund.
Thank you for helping us to support education in our district.
